Japan vs Cameroon Match Preview

Cameroon manager Paul Le Guen looks set to exclude Alex Song from his starting line-up for the match with Japan.

Le Guen has said the Arsenal defensive midfielder will be on the bench. Also likely to miss out is highly regarded Espanyol ‘keeper Carlos Kameni, who is set to be replaced by Hamidou Souleymanou.

One man who will start is striker Samuel Eto’o, despite threatening to pull out after a disagreement with Cameroon hero Roger Millar.

Japan head coach Takeshi Okada has experimented with a number of formations in recent matches and may opt to play Keisuke Honda, normally a midfielder, upfront on his own.

Wolfsburg midfielder, Makoto Hasebe has overcome a back injury and is in line for a start for the Japanese.
