Portugal v Brazil Preview

By on June 25, 2010

Brazil face their former colonial ‘masters’ Portugal in the clash which will decide which team will win Group G.

Portugal boss Carlos Queiroz has no new injury or suspension worries, although midfielder Deco is still sidelined with a hip problem.

After beating North Korea 7-0 last time out, Queiroz is unlikely to make any changes to his starting line-up, which means a front three of Ronaldo, Simao and Almeida.

Striker Liedson will be on the bench, while Tiago continues in place of Deco.

Brazil head coach Dunga will be forced to make a change, as playmaker Kaka was sent off against Ivory Coast. Nilmar is the most likely replacement, although Julio Baptista is also pushing for a start.

Forward Elano has a calf strain, but is expected to be fit enough to start against Portugal.

KICK-OFF: FRIDAY JUNE 25th 15:00 GMT
