Cameroon boss Paul Le Guen may shake up his starting line up after a poor display in their opening match to Japan.

Cameroon boss Paul Le Guen is set to make a number of changes to his starting eleven ahead of this match with Group E opponents Denmark.

Arsenal’s Alex Song, Geremi and Rigobert Song were all left out of Cameroon’s defeat at the hands of Japan. However, all three are expected to return for the game against Morten Olsen’s Denmark side. Joel Matip will make way for Alexandre Song in midfield.

Similarly, having played striker Samuel Eto’o on the right against Japan, Le Guen is likely to bring the Inter Milan striker back into his favoured position as centre forward against Denmark.

Denmark coach Morten Olsen has a number of injury concerns among his squad, with strikers Jon Dahl Tomasson and Nicklas Bendtner both carrying knocks.

Also facing late fitness tests are defender Simon Kjaer (knee) and midfielder Daniel Jensen (Achilles), although Olsen is hopeful all will be fit enough to be considered for this match.

Cameroon manager Paul Le Guen looks set to exclude Alex Song from his starting line-up for the match with Japan.

Le Guen has said the Arsenal defensive midfielder will be on the bench. Also likely to miss out is highly regarded Espanyol ‘keeper Carlos Kameni, who is set to be replaced by Hamidou Souleymanou.

One man who will start is striker Samuel Eto’o, despite threatening to pull out after a disagreement with Cameroon hero Roger Millar.

Japan head coach Takeshi Okada has experimented with a number of formations in recent matches and may opt to play Keisuke Honda, normally a midfielder, upfront on his own.

Denmark coach Morten Olsen revealed that striker Tomasson and midfielder Daniel Jensen have been training separately from the rest of the squad and are unlikely to be risked in the match against the Netherlands.
